Nov. 14th was the release party for the new Deep Thinkers album Make it Quake. The Riot room was packed with fam. All familiar faces, all out for a good time.
Special guests of the night were: Miles Bonny, Reggie B and MC Reach came out and rocked great sets to set off the main event. Chief Rocka Busy Bee was one of the highlights of the show. He dropped that classic “wild style” party rockin’ style with DJ ICE cuttin’ up some classic breaks. The bboys n girls loved it and it was good to see people actually participate in a call in response segment of the show.

Nothing sucks more than when and MC says “Say Hooooo!” and the crowd is like “Huuuuuugh”, in the flattest tone you can imagine.  Overall the night was a hit. The sound man was on point for sure this night. The bass was hittin’ and the lyrics clear for a change. Whew. The last few shows at the Riot Room haven’t sounded this good. Whoever you are mystery sound man….biggups!

The DT’s are now with the Wilshire Music Group led by DJ ICE. It’s great to see these guys get support like this and give them an extra push. I’m hoping they’ll get to go on the road a bit and share their talents. The new album is dope and i think you’ll agree if your fan of some indie head nod beats and lyrics that need a 2nd – 3rd listen to completely digest.
