“STUFF & THINGS, THINGS & STUFF…”

12/04/2014 - State of Shock show pics

The State of Shock title not only references the shocking images seen out of Ferguson, Missouri, but all over the world from Eastern Europe to the Middle East and Africa. This show is an interpretation of the chaos and unrest that is in the world. Some struggles are beautifully orchestrated marches aimed at bringing social change while others are all-out riots, fueled by a repressive regime. Each struggle is unique and like each piece has multiple layers of detail so does each conflict. I chose to leave the faces blank or sparse in the pieces so that the viewers may project their ideas and experiences into my art and find their own meanings in the work based on their unique perspectives.
